Hi there heroes, it’s been a while I have not write a review on my blog. Today I’ll write about The Transformers Decepticon Blackout. I bought this at local shop, in Cineleisure by my little bro, so I don’t know the exact price. But for a voyager class Transformers, it usually cost about RM109.++, that is about USD30.++. Mine is a TakaraTomy version, (before this in my other TF toys review, they were writen as only Takara) and not Hasbro. Blackout is a Decepticon robot in Sikorvski’s, Pave Low hellicopter form. It is one of the most huge Transformers character(actually ,I’m a bit dissapointed that Hasbro/TakaraTomy did not made this as a Leader Class figure).

Packaging; as usual the packaging for Transformers The Movie toys is great, the color and fonts used realy suits the Transformers The Movie styles. Inside the box , have a plastic tray attached to a cardboard box/tray. Blackout was tied by twisties, and some rubber bands.

Design; the design is great in helicopter mode, the pegs are sometimes useless on some parts. One more thing about the design is, in robot mode the tail of the helli is to long( actually the gimmick lever, for the helli fan to spinned is the problem) and it disturbed the stability of the figure to stand. In my opinion they should just scraped out that gimmick, it is not fun to play with, and just made me annoyed. Other than the spinning fan( or to be exact rotor) gimmick, they also put another gimmick, a compartment box with contraption door at the helli butt. It for putting the small Scorponock figure given in this toy. After you put the Scorponock in the compartment, closed the door, then you push the small button and the Scorponock will came out of the helli butt. Altough I don’t like the gimmick, but it was fun to play with :) .

Articulations; although the articulations are great, the articulations of the neck is kindt of limited, no ball joint used for the neck. Ball joints are only been used on the hip and.

Colorings; not much to complain, but they can do better( I hope so). Only, if they put some American Navy/Airforce star sticker on him will definitely make Blackout more outstanding. I sure missed the old Transformers toys where you have to peeled the sticker and put it yourself.

Worth or not to get this figure; yes if you can stand the frustation of making the figure stand on it’s own.
